Parawai Tramping Club

Club nights are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Meetings are usually held at the Kapiti Primary School (opposite the Police Station in Paraparaumu) starting at 7:30pm.

The club holds an annual photo competition.
This is usually held in August. For this year's date go to the Club Night Programme.

The categories are:

• Landscape above the bushline
• Landscape below the bushline
• People and action
• Camp and hut life
• Flora and Fauna

All photos must have the name of the photographer, the category entered, name of the image and where it was taken clearly written on the back of the photograph.

In addition to each category there is a Supreme Winner (determined by the judge) and a Members Popular Choice Photo (voted by the members present).

Winning entries (and other notable entries) from our competition are automatically entered into the FMC photo competition.

Rules

• You can enter a maximum of 3 photos in each category.
• Photos must be submitted in printed form (matte or glossy) and be 6in x 8in (15cm x 21cm).
• Photos must be taken within the current or preceding calendar year and may not have been entered in any other photo competition.
• The only adjustments allowed on a computer are cropping, sharpening and tonal or exposure adjustments. No other digital adjustments are allowed.
• Photos must be taken within NZ, unless they have been taken on a club trip overseas.

Every year the club publishes its own calendar.

It is a full-colour A3 size (A4 picture plus A4 calendar) with one month per page and a photo from one of the club trips for each month.

Use your surname in the reference field and "Calendar" in details field.

Receiving Options

They can be posted to you or you can pick them up (see below).

The calendars should be available for pick up at the club night of Wednesday, 4th December.
However, if you cannot attend this meeting, it is strongly recommended to get a friend to collect your calendar on club night, due to the postage expense.
If the calendar cannot be collected on the night, other delivery options can be arranged on an individual basis.
